In this interview with Shaun Inman I ask about his success and how he got into making apps. Shaun has been making web apps and iPhone apps for some time now. He is the creator of Mint and Fever. Two very successful web apps. He is also the creator of two iPhone apps, “The Last Rocket” and “Horror Vacui”, among other things.

Shaun is a truly amazing developer and designer. A mix you do not see often. You have experienced his work you know what I’m talking about. Mr. Inman is also full of great advice and stories. As a truly inspirational person I know you will watch this interview again and again.

Widget: Add to Home Screen

This little JavaScript widget gives you an elegant iPhone popup. Add to Homescreen acts as a notification box for the action button on the iPhone. Drop any message you want in it. “Add this site to your home screen,” is not a bad idea. I think is is perfect for mobile web apps.

Apple iPhone 4S Leads Gracefully

This has been an incredible few days. We have seen the all new Kindle Fire, Adobe’s acquisition of Typekit and PhoneGap, and now the new iPhone 4S from Apple.

Physically the iPhone has not changed much. A new dual core A5 processor, antenna and camera have been sprinkled on but this is not that exciting. However, the iPhone landing page stirs me up a little more than the iPhone itself.

Wow, its already 2011. Another year filed away. A new year just beginning. This raises the question, what is going to happen this year? Well for one I can say the iPhone for Verizon… but, you already know that. I will also say we get Drupal 7, but like the former you know this too. So I’ll have to share whats on my mind, and see what you think.
